Raiding and Counter Raiding
Admins do not encourage raiding; this is a friendly server for new or chill players. Raiding is only allowed after the first 14 days after each wipe. If it’s twig or wood, leave it alone (at all times).

- Train System / subway / stations
- The rest of the map
🧱 Base Building
- Base Limits: Teams (solo or not) are only allowed one main base storing loot. Extra bases can exist but must not store significant loot. Horses, boats, and cars aren’t considered loot. A 2x2 near Excavator is fine for resource storage.
-
Base Building & Defense:
- Outside Items: Items placed outside your enclosed compound (like furnaces, refineries, or minicopters) are your responsibility. You can’t use traps or bait tactics to justify kills — guard them properly.
- Static Turrets & Traps: Must stay within your fully enclosed compound.
- Roof Turrets: Must not be able to target players standing on the ground outside your fully enclosed compound. Shooting into the sky is fine, as long as ground players (even on nearby hills) can’t be targeted.
- SAM Sites: Must be marked “NO FLY ZONE” on the map (using a vending machine) and placed on or within your fully enclosed compound.
- Definition – Fully Enclosed Compound: An enclosed compound is defined as an area completely surrounded by walls and a locked gate, or a base that cannot be entered without using force (e.g., through a locked door).
- Bags: On their own — in the open — are not bases.
⚔️ Raiding & PVP
- Twig / Wood Bases: If it’s made of twig or wood, leave it alone. You can’t stay twig/wood forever to avoid raids. If you see a wooden/twig base idle for days, ask an admin for permission to raid. Once a base is stone or above, it’s raidable.
- Taking Over & Foundation Wipes: 🚫 No griefing, takeovers, or wiping bases entirely (foundation wipes). Removing the TC and letting the base decay is fine. You may place doors mid-raid but remove/unlock them when done.
- Raids: You must have a raidable base yourself to raid others. Once a raid starts, the area around that base becomes a PVP zone — anyone nearby may be killed and looted. A raid is defined as damaging another base in any way. This does not include building into bases where no force was used.
-
Stealing / Trespassing:
Entering a base without using force (for example, jumping over walls or flying too close in a helicopter)
is not considered a raid. However, if you enter another player’s secured compound,
you do so at your own risk — you can be killed by traps or turrets as long as the base
complies with the fully enclosed compound rules above.
If this occurs outside of an active raid period, you cannot fight back. Trespassing or hovering over bases does not grant PVP rights — you entered (or flew) at your own risk. - Airdrop / Locked Crate: Once the crate disappears, PVP must stop. You can’t leave crates intentionally to extend PVP — always loot them fully if you reach them.
- Downed Helicopter: Remains a PVP zone until boxes are looted and the heli body is mined. If inside a monument, PVP never stops.
👥 Teams
- Team Limits: If you share resources, raid, or do monuments together, you’re one team. Max size 4. Breaking this rule enforces the Base Limits rule.
🏛️ Monuments
- Land Monuments: Being “inside” means you’re on or within man-made structures (concrete, walls, fences, etc.). Don’t shoot into monuments from outside, or shoot players after they exit.
🌊 Ocean
- Ocean: Pirate Rules apply — the ocean is a free-for-all PVP zone. Map squares that include both ocean and land are not PVP. The no-raid rule does not apply if you build in the ocean PVP zone.
🧨 Wipes
- Wipe: Full wipe including blueprints. Check rustforcewipe.com to see when the next one is.
- 🔥 Purge — 48 hours before wipe: For the 48-hour purge window before a scheduled wipe, no regular rules apply. you can also grant yourself unlimited resources using your NzChill account: Login/Sign up..
💬 Chat & Conduct
- General Chat: I don’t care what you animals say to each other — even with all these rules, this is still Rust. Keep it chaotic, have fun, and don’t cry over words.
- Boundaries: I draw the line at sexual content or harassment. Keep it in-game.
